X Factor Extends Auditions

“The X Factor” ONLINE AUDITIONS EXTENDED THROUGH FRIDAY, APRIL 27

The X Factor is extending online auditions to Friday, April 27^th.  Solo artists and vocal groups have an additional two weeks to submit their online auditions.  To audition online, auditioners must create a thirty-second introduction and a one-and-a-half minute a cappella video performance at auditions.thexfactorusa.com.

Options for Singers: Karaoke

I recently spent a night out at Yen Sushi & Karaoke in Culver City, CA to celebrate my new friend Dot Todman’s birthday. Karaoke takes as much guts as anything to get up and sing a less-than-familiar song in front of strangers and your friends. In preparation for the night, I Googled lists of top karaoke songs, apps to organize song lists, and tips from pros all around the world. I even found out my friend Rick Priddis sponsors one of the world’s largest Karaoke contests.

Here’s what I really learned from my experience: Karaoke may be fun but it’s for serious singers, too.

X Factor Auditions at MyStudio!

The 2nd season of X Factor is underway and my friends at MyStudio.net invited me to be part of the first day of auditions at their new Los Angeles booth location on Friday, March 9!

The X Factor Season 2 Auditions Start at MyStudio

With only one week until the season finale of THE X FACTOR, they’re already gearing up for the second season in 2012!

Online auditions start Thursday, Dec. 15 and will be open until Dec. 31 at midnight. Hopefuls, from any walk of life, can upload a two-minute audition video of his or herself singing or they can record them directly through the online auditions at auditions.thexfactorusa.com.

Who can audition you ask? It’s the same as this season – you must be 12 years of age or older and there is no age cap. Yes, 100-year-olds can audition!

Along with the online auditions, people can participate in open call and MyStudio Booth auditions in different cities around the country next year. A second round of the online auditions will also be available early next year. Sign up for the newsletter to be among the first to get audition details as they are announced.

And did you know? Drew, who made it to the Top 5, auditioned via MyStudio and Marcus Canty, currently in the semi-final, auditioned via YouTube. So, you never know, you may be gracing THE X FACTOR stage next year!
