With only one week until the season finale of THE X FACTOR, they’re already gearing up for the second season in 2012!

Online auditions start Thursday, Dec. 15 and will be open until Dec. 31 at midnight. Hopefuls, from any walk of life, can upload a two-minute audition video of his or herself singing or they can record them directly through the online auditions at auditions.thexfactorusa.com.

Who can audition you ask? It’s the same as this season – you must be 12 years of age or older and there is no age cap. Yes, 100-year-olds can audition!

Along with the online auditions, people can participate in open call and MyStudio Booth auditions in different cities around the country next year. A second round of the online auditions will also be available early next year. Sign up for the newsletter to be among the first to get audition details as they are announced.

And did you know? Drew, who made it to the Top 5, auditioned via MyStudio and Marcus Canty, currently in the semi-final, auditioned via YouTube. So, you never know, you may be gracing THE X FACTOR stage next year!

      Well, you can’t audition in a MyStudio booth… I’m not even sure what the rules are for anyone who is not in the US. Guess I should find out! Canada has some REALLY top notch singing contests (as well as some of the world’s best singers)! Best of luck anyway, Bradeneidem!

      I think i miss the online which end on 12-31-2011. I didn’t even know it I thought it start in january 2012.  How do you do the audition with youtube.  Is there a live audition? where and when for season 2 2012?

        Diamond – 2012 YouTube auditions for The X Factor USA have not started yet but you will be able to upload a video to http://www.youtube.com/theXfactorusa later this year.

        Additionally, if you are able to get to a MyStudio.net HD Recording booth, you can make and submit a video. http://www.mystudio.net/XFactorPartnership.aspx

        Some details to know: The song should be done a cappella and the video must be 2 minutes in length, including a 30-second introduction. The intro should explain who you are and according to Fox, why you have the ‘X Factor.’

        The audition videos will be judged similarly to how live in-person auditions are and will remain private; only ‘The X Factor’ team can view them. If your video is selected, you will be extended the opportunity to audition in front of the judges.
